This proposal would amend the City Charter to include ranked choice voting in primary elections for municipal elections New York city. Ranked choice voting is a process by which voters may rank candidates for office in order of preference. Winning candidates are selcted through multiple rounds of vote tabulation until a candidate emerges with more than 50% of voters selecting them for inclusion on their ballot.
